Second Chance Animal Rescue

Instabox is delighted to announce that we are now sponsoring SCARS, also known as the Second Chance Animal Rescue. SCARS has a very important mission; to promote the humane care and protection of all animals and to prevent cruelty and suffering.

The volunteer-run, non-profit society is dedicated to reducing the number of homeless and abandoned animals in Northern Alberta. Thanks to SCARS, needy animals receive warm shelter, food, exercise, and tender loving care.

As a director with Second Chance Animal Rescue Society, I can’t even begin to express our gratitude and appreciation of Instabox’s sponsorship! SCARS, a volunteer run non-profit, operates entirely though donated funds and sponsorships from companies like the wonderful people at Instabox! SCARS vision huge: one day we hope to end the needless suffering of abandoned and homeless animals in Northern Alberta. The areas where SCARS targets do not have veterinary services and there is an estimated stray population of 2000 dogs, although we believe that number to be far greater.

To date, SCARS has rescued, rehabilitated and re-homed over 3000 animals. With the support of Instabox, not only can we continue this work, but expand our work to include ever more rescued animals, while concentrating on a comprehensive educational program.
